ACER has launched a public consultation on two methodologies in the field of coordination of operational security and remedial actions in the Core region:
- Methodology for coordinated redispatching and countertrading.
- Methodology for regional operational security coordination.
In March 2020, regulatory authorities for energy in the Core region (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia) referred to the European Union (EU) Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) the proposal from Transmission System Operators in the region on the methodology for coordinated redispatching and countertrading. The proposal was developed pursuant to EU Regulation establishing a Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management.
In addition, in June 2020, the same regulatory authorities referred to ACER the methodology for regional operational security coordination, which was developed pursuant to EU Regulation establishing a Guideline on Electricity Transmission System Operation.
In order to take an informed decision on the proposals, ACER seeks comments of interested stakeholders.
All interested parties are invited to submit their views by 21 September 2020, 23:59 hrs (CET).
